Chapter Twenty

At the end of this chapter, Gypsy thinks, "I reckoned I was a different person in more ways than just my appearance, and a person who was anything but invisible." (page 174)

What do you think she meant by this?  Please explain yourself thoroughly.

Chapter Twenty

After explaining her new hairstyle to Mary Lee, Gypsy thinks, "I think in that moment I knew me and Woodrow would be friends for life.  We had something.  We understood each other." (page 173)

Why did Gypsy know this at that moment?  What was the "something" they had?
